The sounds of Bologna date back centuries. During the Middle Ages, this city became a melting pot for emotions expressed through sacred choral music. In fact, it wasn’t long before Bologna established itself as a hub for musicians thanks to its prestigious University – one of the oldest in the world! You could say that creativity was brewing alongside academic knowledge.
You might wonder how food influences music (besides inspiring adorable pizza-themed songs). Well! Local gatherings over rich Bolognese dishes often turned into lively jam sessions with people strumming lutes and flutes sharing both food and folklore. Talk about a “pasta party” but with more pizzazz!
