The founders—Eddy “Groove” Patterson and Lisa “Rhythmic” Sanders—were dreamers who believed in letting artists express themselves freely. At one such concert featuring an early incarnation of The Grumble Bees, they ran out of power halfway through their set. Their first release? An EP titled “Rock’n’Ribbit” featuring those Funky Toads.
